Rally’s/Checker’s Fries Taste Sweet?

Had Rally’s/Checker’s fries today for first time in prob 10 years. They tasted sweet. Salty of course. My friend who had them with me said that’s how they always tasted. I don’t remember that. I know for a fact they were a fresh batch as I watched him dump the frozen ones in the oil. Is this your experience too or did they maybe fry them in the oil used for the funnel cake fries/apple pie (which they were out of today) etc?

Auto mechanic SE Valley

Anyone recommend a good, CHEAP mechanic? Have a 4th gen 4R that needs shocks and also has started emitting a potent sweet-smell coming from the engine bay or maybe underneath that could be a fluid of some sort, can only smell when idling, etc.

A good (but long/detailed) article from QSR on Burger King’s resurgence

https://www.qsrmagazine.com/story/how-burger-king-is-winning-back-guests-one-whopper-at-a-time/

Though I’m not in the industry, I read this whole article and thought it was well done, and seems to explain accurately why BK has turned around. I still haven’t had the new Whopper, but will soon. Some good tidbits of behind-the-scene ultra-large restaurant strategy here. The idea that they’ve positioned themselves as actually caring/receiving/acting upon customer feedback/wishes/ideas is smart, and working. Also, simple concept that instead of doing “Celebrity Meal“ drops, they let the regular customer influence the LTOs (Whopper By You, etc.). Enjoy!
