What lessons can the Philippines learn from Cabo Verde?

There have only been eight winners of the World Cup and Cabo Verde nearly beat three of them in its debut. Two of these teams, ESP and ARG, are favorites to win the 2026 World Cup.

A country with a slightly lower population than Muntinlupa fought toe-to-toe with mighty Argentina -- and nearly won.

How did this small archipelagic nation do it and what can the Philippines learn from a historic performance at this World Cup?

England could have had Haaland (NOR), Musiala (GER), Olise (FRA), and many others -- there are lessons here for the PFF

Right now, England doesn't seem to be as good as it should be, relying solely on the heroics of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham. DR Congo nearly beat the Three Lions.

It's interesting to me that the names on the title of this thread could have played for England but it seems the FA wasn't persuasive enough at the youth, U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels to snag the best eligible youth players. Other notable misses are Antonee Robinson (United States), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (DR Congo), Scott McTominay (Scotland), Antoine Semenyo (Ghana), Jeremie Frimpong (Holland), and probably several more names.

Note that these misses occurred AFTER the FA revamped its elite youth structure in December 2014 with the launch of the "England DNA" project.

For countries like the Philippines, the PFF is probably looking at this and see what lessons we can learn in enticing the next generation of Fil-foreign talents.

Bnew, Old Stock Sennheiser HD 518 for $16 -- still worth getting?

Saw a Sennheiser HD 518 on sale in Manila, Philippines for about $16.40. The item is still in the box but the box looks a bit banged up. The lady at the store says we can't open the box to test it and that it's the last one in stock.

I'm seriously considering it but I do have more than a handful of headphones and earbuds already (AKG K92, Sennheiser 458BT, Samsung Buds3 Pro, OneOdio Pro50, Samsung Buds FE, Sony Inzone H7).

Considering it's over a decade old and with what I already have, is there a place in any type of listening where the HD 518 would be superior?
