The Cooper Union Kites 5th uniform
Created a real eye sore with this one. The other uniforms are very plain so went a bit overboard here.
the paint are real photos, you can see the set up in the last photo.

Another fictional build this time for Cooper Union. A small college in Manhattan focusing on art, architecture and engineering, a school that's never actually getting D1 football.
Designed the kite bird mascot in Illustrator and kept the colors true to the kite flag, the rest I found. Love that CU monogram!
Kept the uniforms simple for this one, although got one slot left that I'm still working on.
Posted this at the early stages last week. This is my first proper build after a half-finished attempt at it last year.
I wanted to take a real school that is never going to have a football team and give it one. I leaned in heavily to the school's brand guidelines and built a monogram and logos using just their orange dot and their typeface.
Here's the material I was following: ArtCenter Identity Guidelines
It took a while to get the gradients looking right in Teambuilder, but most of the time has been spent on/learning Illustrator, trying to find the right color schemes that work and designing logos.
I added a slight gradient to the original dot, and that became my "Sunset" logo. Directly applied that to the home uniform.
Midnight alternative was the hardest, dark gradients are a nightmare to work with. Tried adding some noise but felt it ended up looking better with some banding going on.
I used the original dot for the turquoise/green kit, thought this color combo went pretty hard. ArtCenter's brand history also gave me some good context here.
Given the school, I've decided to base the last uniform on an artist, I think I'll do a new artist each season. For the first one, I've paid homage to Shibuya's work. Felt right given the whole identity is built on gradients.
Always amazed by some of the work you guys post on here. Would love to hear your thoughts on this! And if anyone has any recs for similar builds to do next?
Creating a fictional program for ArtCenter, main logo trying to stick true to their dot logo. Built the whole identity (colours, wordmark, mascot) around turning that dot into a sunset gradient rather than inventing something new.
Stadium: Rose Bowl
Location: Pasadena, CA
Rivals: Arizona State, California, Stanford, UCLA, USC
As you can tell, I'm not a designer! would love some feedback from you guys.
