1931 First Edition of "My Father Mark Twain"
As a huge Mark Twain fan, I couldn't pass this up. It's in remarkable condition for its age, plus it was only $5.

Every book in the store was $5!
I'm always amazed to find 80+ year old books that still have the dust jacket. The dust jacket is a little rough, but the book itself is in such good shape it appears to be unread.
I already had a copy, but for $4 I couldn't pass this one up.
This is a very good read about Guam in World War II. Even as someone who has been reading a lot about the War in the Pacific in the last couple of years, I realized I didn't know much about Guam at all. This book did an excellent job of filling in those gaps for me.
For anyone who reads this, I have a suggestion to make. The maps in the book aren't great. They're too few and too small. I found a USMC Historical Monograph titled "The Recapture of Guam." (Link below) This Monograph had over 30 maps related to the campaign. I printed them out and put them in a report cover. Having this as a supplement to the text made following the battle so much easier.
