I asked my doctor not to lift my nose tip because I didn’t want my columella to disappear but he told me it was “droopy” (rlly wasn’t) so he was gonna do it anyway. I let him do it cause I also heard most doctors lift it to prevent it from looking too droopy as time passes but now im sad that it’s gone. Before it was more visible but now it’s at the same level as my nostrils…does it become more visible over time as my nose tip continues to drop or will I never see it again? I really regret doing this…I drew a picture for those confused about what I’m talking about.

I got my septorhinoplasty almost three months ago and I expected that around this time I’d start to like my nose but I’ve actually been feeling the opposite. My nose looks too pinched and the tip is incredibly small compared to what I used to have. This has really affected my mental health and I’ve been avoiding mirrors bc if I catch a glimpse of myself I’ll start to have a meltdown. Is anyone else experiencing or have experienced the same problem as me and if so did anything improve/change over time? Will my nose tip start to round out as the months pass or is this something that might need a revision? I’m so upset that my doctor took off so much of my nose tip when all I wanted was a subtle change. To me it looks like someone punched my nose into my face and it just got stuck there, almost like a pug. When I look down my nostrils and nose tip are almost all at the same level and it rlly bothers me. I drew a picture to show what it looks like bc I don’t feel comfortable showing my face on here. My nostrils also look sharp & more open which is another thing I find hard ignore…it’s hard to stay positive when there’s so many things I dislike about my nose.
