Happy Birthday, America

I recently got a Polaroid Flip and decided to take pictures of the sunrise at Ocean View Beach for the 4^(th) of July. I want to say I’m not MAGA, and I don’t like the way our country is heading right now, especially with the inhumane ICE crackdowns. Yet I’m a Navy Veteran and love my country. I’m not going to let the felon in the White House take away the hope I have for our nation today. I thought taking pictures at sunrise would be a nice way to spend the 4th of July.

I’m very new to Polaroid photography, but I wanted to share the pictures here. Have a Happy 4^(th) of July!

Feedback Requested

I took my Flip out to take pictures of the sunrise today on the 4th of July. I feel the need to say I’m not MAGA and I don’t like the way our country is heading right now, especially with the inhumane ICE crackdowns. Yet I’m a Veteran and love my country. I’m not going to let the orange felon in the White House take away the hope I have for our nation today. I thought taking pictures at sunrise would be a nice way to spend the 4th of July.

Back to the pictures. I’m very new to taking Polaroid pictures. This was my 3rd and part of my 4th pack of film. I’d like honest feedback here. I labeled the pictures 1-12 to make them easy to identify. I experimented with the exposure a bit, but I need all the advice I can get.

I know there is not a lot of variety in the pictures, but the way I see it, I’m still in the experimentation phase and I need to see what works and what doesn’t work with the camera. The artistry will come later. Basically, I need to take a lot of pictures and see what sucks and what doesn’t suck.

There’s a shorebird in 10 & 11. I got as close as I felt comfortable, but the little guy’s hard to see.

Thanks for reading this, and I look forward to the feedback.
