Costco Canada has 1 g gold bars in store! Price is about $169 USD.

I've received some 2026 Gold Eagles from Costco that contain surface spots (coin #1) and some kind of a "chip" above liberty's thigh (coin #2). These imperfections are noticeable upon a closer look at the coins, which I did not take immediately. I'm wondering what those surface spots are, since gold doesn't rust? I was hoping to save a little by receiving near MS70 from US Mint and grading them at PCGS, but I guess you can't win.
