2D Particles Question (String Theory)

I heard stuff like "bosonization" and other interesting properties of fermions and bosons when they live in 2D (I know the existence of anyons, too).

How do strings work when the "particle" is confined to a 2D place. Let me phrase that better. Is there a way to confine fermions/bosons to an almost 2D plane, that allows us to experiment on the 2D theories?

I'm a junior that just started research with a professor, so I don't know much about strings etc. Hence the question. Thank you !

All trapdoor/door shapes should be allowed in all wood types.

We have great trapdoors but I hate that they can only come in one color. For example, I like the acacia door, but it's hard to combine it with different colors. I wish we had dark oak color of the same shape. I like dark oak, too by the way, but acacia door looks like a balcony door, dark oak looks like a legendary place's entrance. But this legendary place could have a pale oak door of the same shape, too.

My suggestion to how this could work is, we would have something like stonecutter for wood, and we could pick the non-default trapdoors in it, from different wood types. Also, wood materials like fences, trapdoors, they all need a lot of woods to be crafted, so woodcutter could fix that issue, too.

I'm sure it'll take Mojang at least 5 years until they add it. So is there a mod like this? I just want all trapdoors/doors to be crafted, lumberjack station would also be appreciated, but it isn't needed.

What is a virtual particle?

Hello, I'm a junior physics student, and we came across some photons being short-lived and massive in some interactions. Do we know why this happens? And what does it really mean, except for that they travel below c?

A quaestion about making sorbet

Why do we freeze the fruits before blending? What does this step help with, rather than only freezing once after mixing with syrup and lemon?
