Momcozy Bottle Washer - worth it?

FTM and considering investing in the Momcozy Bottle Washer before baby arrives! I’ve seen so many people say they got it a few months in and wished they got it sooner. But also weary of trying to pick out what are ads on TikTok/Insta as opposed to real life opinions!

If you have it, do you think it’s worth the price tag? 🥲

CUMH - Labour Parking

This probably sounds like a stupid thing to be thinking about but what has everyone’s husbands done with their cars when they go into labour? 🤣 I mean not for planned section type situations but when you need to go to the hospital in quite a rush. From going there for appointments and knowing the parking is a nightmare (we’ve queued for 45mins before!) I can’t help but think about it already

Prenatal Yoga - East Cork/Cork

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for prenatal/pregnancy yoga in East Cork area? (Midleton, Carrigtohill, Cobh)

Could also travel to Douglas or another location in Cor but East Cork would be preferred ☺️

Bonus points if you know if the location qualifies to be claimed back for under health insurance 🤣

Anatomy Scan - Tips/Questions

FTM and I have my anatomy scan in the morning(obviously very anxious but that’s not the reason for my post 🥲)

Does anyone have any tips or hacks that they’d been told to do beforehand to get baby moving around? I’ve heard of cold drinks and orange juice before the appointment but just wondering if there were any others. I had a clinic appointment last week and the midwife let me listen to his heartbeat with a Doppler - she asked me if I wanted to record it so I went and got my phone from my bag and when I lied back down it took her a good while to find the heartbeat again as he’d moved around so much 🫣

Also - does anyone have any suggestions for what questions I should be asking?

Canaries while 24weeks pregnant?

I’m planning a week long holiday while 24 weeks pregnant to Fuertaventura.

FTM and so far a low risk pregnancy.

I was fully ok with it until the second I clicked “confirm” on booking the flights, and now I’m riddled with anxiety wishing I could just cancel it altogether in case something goes wrong and we’re so far away! (Flights are Ryanair - I definitely won’t get my money back🤣) Worrying about the flight being too long, if they have maternity facilities, if they do can they speak English or going into preterm labor and having to stay there for months on end 🥲🫠

I understand that every one is different - but has anyone travelled at this stage of pregnancy and can share some advice with me? Or does anyone have any experience with hospitals during pregnancy in Fuertaventura 🥲

Najell Pillow vs BbHugMe Pillow? + Secondhand Availabilty

Looking for recommendations from anyone that has tried both (or either of) the Najell and BbHugMe Pregnancy Pillows - currently 17 weeks pregnant and think it might be time to invest in a good pregnancy pillow.

I like the idea of the Najell as you can use it as a nursing pillow afterwards - so I’m kind of leaning towards that one.

As well as recommendations on which to get, I’m also wondering if anyone has actually managed to purchase either secondhand? I’m based in Cork and have been checking Facebook Marketplace, Vinted and Reborn regularly and haven’t seen any come up at all.

I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant (FTM). I’ve had barely any symptoms at all since the beginning. Sounds amazing but this has made me extremely anxious! I had a scan at 8 weeks and 11 weeks - a heartbeat was detected and everything looked ok at those. I’ve also had NIPT done at week 10 and everything came back low risk.

The few symptoms I did have (bloating, slightly sore boobs and my hair shedding had slowed down) have gone now in the last week and I just feel completely normal - which is further adding to the stress. I’m waking up in the middle of the night worrying and unable to get back to sleep - so I’m exhausted due to that now too.

I just feel all that’s going to put my mind at ease is seeing the heartbeat again to know that everything is still ok. I have my first appointment with the doctor on the 12th of May. I know they won’t scan me then as I’ve already had my dating scan - but I also can’t keep paying for private scans.

We’ve only told parents and siblings so far - and I’m so hesitant to tell anyone else because of how anxious I am. I really want to be excited and tell people but I just can’t.

Has anyone just presented to CUMH to ask for a reassurance scan? Did they just tell you to go away? Did you need a referral from your GP?

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
