Chances
I applied for a Cath Lab Tech position. However, I had called when I saw the position open as I am just a paramedic (been paramedic for 6 years and worked rural, critical care, and urban medicine), no RCIS or anything. I asked the manager some questions of basically “is it worth my time or yours to apply since I don’t have the certs, but after a year and the required cases able to take RCIS” manager said basically to go ahead and did some little interview questions over the phone. The manager then asked if I wanted to do a shadow day, which I did, and at the end asked me some more interview like questions and asked how I would feel moving from the field and into the hospital setting, to which I told them I am ready to step away from the field and that growth opportunities are much more in a hospital than a rig. They then asked if I was on a time constraint to hear back from them, which I am not. They said they would talk to the team and if moving to the formal interview it’s just a formality.
Long winded - but I was curious what everyone in here thought my chances might be of getting a formal interview?
