Passed Intro to Business Law
That was the last CLEP i needed for my paralegal degree! It was definitely one of the hardest exams I've taken, and also my lowest scored. (My other exams have been College Algebra, A&I lit, sociology, and us history 1). The reason it is difficult is because of the scope of the exam, and it is mainly a memorization exam. Basically, if you don't know a term, exceptions, consequences, and conditions, you'll miss the question.
What I did-
Get the modern states voucher. the course is useful for getting a little grasp on everything but the teacher skims so do NOT rely on it alone
Do NOT use petersons for practice tests for this test. Petersons was way too hard and went way beyond the scope of the test, going into securities, environmental acts, obscure foreign exemptions, etc.
Don't bother using the vital source textbook. Not enough information
Read through the topics that the college board has for the exam and study each one! Especially about contracts! Ask google, whatever. This is the most important step since this exam has very little info or resources, so you'll have to go over every single thing
Don't bother with youtube videos either. I also did not use any quizlets.
Use the free clep prep lessons! They have the most detailed information. I didn't have time to take the test they offered since I had to leave for the actual exam lol
I'm currently writing a little study guide for anyone who will be taking the exam, so I hope to post that soon!
Also, the way I take exams is by utilizing the scrap sheet of paper testing centers give me. I mark every question on the paper with a "correct" "maybe" and "guessed". As long as the correct answers are over 60% of the total answers, I just go ahead and submit to get rid of second guessing lol
