Qgis2threejs now has a “Publish with Qgis2OnlineMap” button (thanks r/QGIS and r/gis!)

About 3 months ago, I started building Qgis2OnlineMap because I felt publishing QGIS web maps online should be much simpler than it usually is. One of the first things I did was ask for feedback here on Reddit, and many of your comments helped shape the project. So first of all: thank you.

I wanted to share two milestones.

First, Qgis2threejs now includes a built-in “Publish with Qgis2OnlineMap” button directly in the export interface. That means you can export an interactive 3D scene from QGIS and publish it to a shareable link in one step. You just need to install both plugins.

A massive thanks to the Qgis2threejs developer for making the integration happen.

The second milestone is that Qgis2OnlineMap has now passed:

  • 5,200+ downloads
  • 20+ five-star reviews
  • 220+ users who have successfully published maps

It is increasingly being used by people sharing QGIS web maps with clients, students, and colleagues.

None of this would have happened without the feedback and support from this community.

I’m proud of the progress so far, but it is still early, and I’m sure there is much more Qgis2OnlineMap can offer.

What features or improvements would make publishing and sharing maps online even easier for your workflow?

Thanks again for all the support.
