I can understand that women find the term "ma'am" offensive. Men have "sir" and it seems to be alright. What is an alternative to ma'am that is acceptable?
I had a women at the supermarket ask if I could help reach an item high on the shelf and when she asked me If I could help her I said, "yes ma'am" out of respect, but I could tell in her expression that she didn't like it.
Finally all back together after having the car painted. It's Chevy's barb wire metallic. While it was getting painted, I rewrapped the decklid trim. I think it turned out pretty good.

Hello. I have a '93 base convertible and I'm wondering does anyone know of a good shop that will replace my top in or around Philadelphia? It's going in to be painted soon and I would like a new top done afterwards.
