We started feeding children at school because some were coming to class without enough food. Now we need help keeping the program going.

Hello everyone,

I’m Duncan, one of the people behind Beautiful Care Initiative, a community organisation in Kenya supporting orphaned and vulnerable children.

We started our work because we kept seeing children who wanted to learn and build a better future, but were struggling with basic needs such as food, school supplies and school fees.

One of our programs is our school meals initiative. We provide meals to vulnerable children so that they can stay in class, concentrate on their studies and not have to learn while hungry.

We also help children with things like books, pens, school bags, uniforms, school fees and mentorship.

At the moment, we are supporting 108 vulnerable children, and we're trying to raise funds to continue providing meals and educational support.

We aren't looking for someone to solve everything for us. Even a small contribution can help us provide food or school supplies for a child.

If you would like to learn more about what we do, you can visit our website:

www.beautifulcareinitiative.org

If you're able and willing to support our work, we would be incredibly grateful. If you can't donate, simply sharing this post or helping us reach someone who might be interested in supporting children in Kenya would also mean a lot.

We want to be transparent about our work, and I'm happy to answer genuine questions about our programs, the children we support, and how donations are used.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

How can a small NGO in Kenya get funding?

Hi guys, I’m looking for some advice from people who have experience with NGOs or fundraising in Kenya.

I’m part of an organization called Beautiful Care Initiative. We work with orphaned and needy school children, mainly helping with food, school supplies, school fees and mentorship.

We’ve been doing this at community level, but getting funding has been one of our biggest challenges. We would really like to grow the work and support more children, but we don’t know the best places to look for funding.

For anyone who has worked with NGOs or CBOs, how did you get your first grants or funding?.

Are there Kenyan companies, foundations, international organizations or websites where small organizations can apply for funding?.

Even if you can just point me in the right direction or share your experience, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Seeking advice on sustaining a small feeding and education program for vulnerable children in Kenya.

Hello everyone,

I help run Beautiful Kids Foundation, a small community organization in Migori County, Kenya. We support vulnerable and orphaned children through school meals, educational support, mentorship, and child welfare programs.

Over the past few years, we've learned that the biggest challenge is not starting a program, but sustaining it consistently when resources are limited. We are currently feeding children during the school term and working to ensure they have basic school necessities.

I'm posting here primarily to ask for advice from others who have experience with grassroots charities. What strategies have helped you build long-term support, improve transparency, and connect with donors or partners who genuinely care about community impact?

If anyone is interested in learning more about our work, I would be happy to share additional information privately or through our public website.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you to everyone who supports charitable work in their communities

Thank you guys for your prayers and support for the children in need.

Dear Family,

I want to take a moment to thank God for His incredible faithfulness. Through His grace, the children under our care at Beautiful Care Initiative continue to receive meals, school support, and loving care. Even when resources have been limited, God has continued to provide through prayers, encouragement, and the kindness of people He has touched along the way.

We are truly grateful to everyone who has prayed for us and supported this ministry in any way. Your love is making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable and orphaned children.

As we continue serving these children, we humbly invite anyone who feels led by the Lord to partner with us through a donation. Any amount, big or small, will help provide food, school supplies, and other essential needs. Most importantly, we ask that you continue to keep these children in your prayers.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Thank you, family, for being the hands and feet of Jesus. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your generosity, prayers, and unwavering support.

Whoever will like to support, kindly inbox me and show you how.
