Dude Wolves Suck Ass on Stalker

Seriously the frequency and danger from wolf encounters is way more intense than voyageur. I'm gonna keep playing stalker though because I like the danger. I've never had more than one wolf attack me at a time until stalker, now these things travel in packs! Feels more real

You All Saved my Character

New player, around day 15. I started in mystery lake and wound up on the coastal road with no guns and a single snare I found in a trappers trailer. I've been just been ferreting through peoples houses and surviving off canned goods. I decided to make camp at the quonsot hut gas station and fish for my already exhausted food supply. After spending almost all my resources breaking up pallets for firewood and lugging them out to the shanty I settled in to fish, the line snapped without a single bite. F$%# me. Went up the road and found a logging trail. As soon as got 300 ft on it I turned a corner and was staring right at a bear. I backed up and lit a torch so I had something to throw at it, and once I was around the corner I ran like a madman back to the nearest house. Then I ended up wandering to some cabins and killed a rabbit and set the snare to try and get by. Dropped the hide and gut in a cabin. After exhausting all of the food in the area (and falling through the ice a couple times) I realized I was not going to survive until the gut cured for fishing line, so at 75% gut cure I decided to go back to the bear on the logging trail to see if I could find more buildings with food.

As soon as I got on the highway I noticed something on my left. It was like a shining beacon on the already brilliant ice and snow, a deer on the ice and a wolf. I remembered reading on this sub that the wolf could kill the deer and then you could scare it off and steal its kill, so i did that. I had a single mariners flare and nothing else so I lit it, approached, and chucked it right at the wolf who was greedily feasting. It turned on me and growled for a bit, then ran off. I pulled 12 of the 12.5 kgs of meat on the deer, the hide, and the gut. As soon as i finished the wolf was coming back at me, but somehow I waddled away fast enough to not get attacked. It was a long cold walk but I made it back to the cabin (which looked like a horror movie scene with all the rabit guts and hide on the floor) and I had enough meat to survive until the gut cured!

Anyways thanks guys, this sub saved my character!
