Rooftop Gardening in Karachi - Help me!
I have been growing different plants in pots at home in Karachi for years now but I am unable to get the knack of it. My plants are unpredictable every time I buy a new one, change pots, or grow from seed or even there is a change in season. They grow on their own.
About the basics of plants, I get to do the following:
- I give them water based on their needs
- Give them sun exposure as they are on my terrace.
- Have tried bio-enzyme to revive the nutrients in pot soil. Along with that I put home-made compost and sometimes banana peel water or rice water.
The issues I face is that they don't look flourishing and fresh. I try to grow vegetables also but they only give fruits once. When I buy flower plants, they stop flowering. I buy indoor plants for room, they start to die. I put them on stairs in indirect sunlight, they begin to die. I put them in full sun exposure, they survive. I have concluded that I still don't know the basics of gardening despite of years of experience. Seems like my experience is only limited to watering the plants and guess which one will survive and which won't. :D
