reddit.comAre password managers actually worth the risk or is it just hype
I have been going back and forth on this for a while and i genuinely cannot make up my mind. The whole point of a password manager is that it generates and stores unique passwords for everything but that also means if someone breaks into it they have everything at once which seems way worse than the alternative. Right now i use a few different passwords across my accounts and yeah i know thats not ideal but at least if one gets compromised it doesnt take down my whole digital life. With a password manager one weak point is all it takes. My brother keeps telling me to just use bitwarden and stop overthinking it but i want to actually understand the logic before i trust one app with literally everything i own online. Can someone explain why this is actually safer and not just convenient
which accounts actually need a strong unique password
hey all, pretty new to taking security seriously and trying to figure out where to actually focus my energy. I have like 50 accounts across different sites and apps and right now most of them share a few variations of the same password which i know is bad. My question is should i be treating every single account the same or is it okay to prioritize certain ones like banking and email and be a bit more relaxed about throwaway accounts i barely use. Trying to figure out how deep i need to go before im actually protected versus just stressing myself out over accounts that probably dont matter much. Would love to hear how you guys approach this
which password manager do people actually stick with long term?
I have been putting this off forever but I am finally ready to stop reusing the same three passwords for everything. I need something that works on both my phone and laptop syncs without being annoying and does not feel like a second job to set up. What are you using right now and is there anything you wish you knew before you committed to one.

why is picking a password manager harder than it should be?
I just want something secure easy to use and not going to disappear or get acquired in two years but apparently that is too much to ask. Everywhere I look people are either hardcore about open source or just want something that works without thinking about it. What are you actually using right now and what would make you leave it for something else?
best password manager for a small team which one is actually worth it?
I have been storing passwords in a shared spreadsheet for way too long and it is starting to become a real problem especially when someone leaves the team or we need to update access quickly I need something that is actually secure and easy for non technical people to use. I have been looking around and the names that keep coming up are Bitwarden 1Password and NordPassBefore I commit to one does anyone have actual experience using these for a team and are there any deal breakers I should know about before picking one
