Formation of the Third Kingdom of Lis
Personally, I’m new to this subreddit, so I’ll keep things short. What I’m sharing started mostly as a joke within my family and friend group. However, over time, everyone involved has agreed to make it more public and treat it a bit more seriously, and as one of the younger members I'm in charge of tech stuff.
The First Kingdom of Lis was created before I was born. (The current Minister of State and Public Information) The First Kingdom originated in the 1990s as a protest against the United States acting as the world’s police. It carried on in a loose form, but it was short-lived and eventually faded out.
It was later revived as the Second Kingdom, which was established within a local school (2016–2023). However, it once again lost momentum and faded.
What we now have is the Third iteration of our micronation. In a sense, it has migrated as my family has since moved to the southern United States. Now it has been re-established and brought together again under a renewed structure. Right now, Lis is still very new, with 14 citizens, but we are slowly building it up and seeing where it can go from here.
The Third Kingdom of Lis currently has no official national animal, though the fox is the leading choice in an upcoming vote, which would make sense, since the name loosely translates to Kingdom of Fox.
Now for the government structure Lis has evolved significantly over time. It began as an absolute monarchy, shifted into a centrist constitutional monarchy, and has now developed into a federal-republican-monarchy hybrid. This system blends an elective monarchy with republican institutions and a federal structure, inspired in part by the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.
