Adding Gold Pass Holders to Hotel Room

Hi everyone!

I have a question for anyone who has experience staying at a Disneyland Paris hotel with Disneyland Pass holders.

We are planning to book a Disney Hotel + Park Tickets package for one adult. Two additional adults will be staying in the same room, but both already have a Disneyland Pass Gold, so obviously we don’t want to pay for Park Tickets for them.

The room has two double beds and a capacity of four people, so there would be three adults staying in the room in total.

Has anyone done this recently?

Can the two Gold Pass holders simply be added to the room at reception when we arrive, and would we then only have to pay the tourist tax for them?

Would you recommend contacting Disneyland Paris beforehand to have this confirmed, or is it better to just arrange it at the hotel reception at check-in?

And one more question: if the two Gold Pass holders are added to the hotel room at check-in, do they need to reserve the Park dates with their Gold Pass in advance, or can they enter the Parks during the hotel stay using their MagicPass + Disneyland Pass without making a separate Park reservation?

I’d especially love to hear from anyone who has done this recently with two Pass holders added to a package booked for another guest.

Thanks! 😊

Gold Pass + brother joining us — best option?

Hi everyone!

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Disneyland Paris from 16–18 October 2026. We’re thinking about getting the Gold Pass.

My brother would like to join us, but he would only buy regular 2-day, 2-park tickets. We’re trying to figure out what would make the most sense financially and also give us the best experience.

First question: Is there any way for my brother to get Extra Magic Time with us, even though he doesn’t have a Gold Pass and wouldn’t normally be staying at a Disney Hotel? For example, is there any possibility to arrange this through our Gold Passes or by having him stay in the same room as us?

Second question: Which option would be cheaper overall?

  • We all stay at a hotel outside Disney, we keep our Gold Passes, and my brother buys his 2-day park tickets separately.
  • My brother books a Disney Hotel + tickets package, and the three of us stay in the same room.

We’re also not 100% sure about our arrival time. We might only be able to arrive Friday evening, which would mean losing most of Friday in the parks. However, there is also a chance that we can arrange things so that we arrive Friday morning. We just don’t know yet.

My brother can’t easily take time off work, so we’re trying to avoid paying for an extra park day if we end up arriving late on Friday.

What would you guys recommend? Has anyone been in a similar situation with Gold Pass holders + someone without a pass?

Would love to hear your experiences and which option you think would be cheapest/best value!

Thanks!

Disney Gold Pass

Hi everyone! 👋

My girlfriend and I are seriously considering getting Disneyland Paris Gold Annual Passes, and we would love to hear your experiences, tips and opinions before we make the decision!

We live in Belgium, about a 3.5-hour drive from Disneyland Paris. We have two children, aged 5 and 11, but we are not planning to get Annual Passes for them.

The main reason is that we expect to visit Disneyland Paris quite a lot just the two of us. We both have flexible schedules and can travel much more easily during quieter/cheaper periods. Our kids are of course school-age, so travelling outside school holidays is much more difficult for them. They also absolutely love staying with Grandma, so we will probably take advantage of that from time to time and make some trips as a couple, including overnight stays. 😄

I’ve been reading a lot about the different ways Gold Passholders arrange their accommodation, and this is where I still have quite a few questions.

From what I understand, it can often be much cheaper to stay outside Disney, which is absolutely fine for us. We would actually love recommendations for nice, affordable hotels around Disneyland Paris as well! 🏨

However, when we visit with the children and stay overnight, we would really prefer to stay in a Disney hotel, especially Hotel Cheyenne, because our kids absolutely love it. 🤠

I’ve read that one of the cheaper ways to do this can be to book a room + tickets package for one person, and then add the Annual Passholders to the room, paying only the applicable tourist tax for them. Alternatively, you can book a room-only stay, but from what I’ve seen, that can become considerably more expensive for a family of four.

This is where I’m a little confused:

Can you actually book a Disney hotel package for a child and then add the two Annual Passholders to the room? Or does the person making the booking have to be an adult?

Also, our stays with the children would mainly be during school holidays, which unfortunately are also some of the most expensive periods.

We may also sometimes have a family member joining us. In that case, we could potentially be a party of 5 or more people. Since many Disney hotel rooms have a maximum occupancy of 4, does anyone know whether there is any possibility of adding two Gold Passholders to a room that is already booked for 3 or 4 people? Or would Disney simply require us to book a separate room because of the maximum occupancy?

I would really love to hear from people who actually have a Gold Annual Pass and use it regularly:

  • How often do you visit Disneyland Paris?
  • Do you feel the Gold Pass is worth the money?
  • How do you usually arrange your hotel stays?
  • Do you mostly stay outside Disney or use the Disney hotels?
  • Have you used the “room + tickets + add the Passholders” method?
  • How does it work in practice?
  • Any tips for getting the best value during school holidays?
  • And are there any things you wish you had known before buying your Gold Pass?

We’re basically trying to figure out whether the Gold Pass would really make financial sense for our situation, especially since we’re from Belgium and can drive there relatively easily.

Any experiences, tips, hotel recommendations or personal stories are very welcome! ❤️

Thanks so much in advance to everyone who takes the time to share their experience. Hopefully, we’ll soon be joining the Gold Passholder family ourselves! 😄🏰✨
