Updated from 25.10 to 26.04

Just wanted to share, that the Kubuntu prompted me on 25.10 to update 26.04.

After waiting a few weeks, I decided to do it (because of the prompt), and not to wait for the .1 release.

And everything was fine.. I mean, super fine, everything went smooth, and the bugs I had (not everything, but the main, freezish bugs) went away. There were a lot of plasma freezes where I needed to use x11 for the apps, but for now, I don't see any real issue, which need a x11 config for me, so the KDE update is a real win for me.

I wanted to wait because of nvidia, but I had 580, just upgraded to 595, and as I could see, it's a real jump, with a lot of bug fixes (not the driver itself, I tried to fix the sleep issue with the driver update).

My config:

- Intel Core Ultra 7 265K (w/ 64GB DDR5)

- Nvidia 3060 12GB with 4 displays working (2x2160p[DP], 2x1080p[HDMI] with various refresh rates and placements) and an iGPU with a.. well, don't laugh, but an old MacBook Pro 17" display with a screen controller HDMI->VGA for the iGPU.

So 5 displays working really well, and had no issues overall.

Actually: there is one issue for now: The sleep does not work. This may be an nvidia issue, but I couldn't find anything on how to fix this, so for now I don't have a sleep function, if the PC goes to sleep (disabled the auto go to sleep), or if I just push the sleep button, it will freeze and have to hard reset. But apart from this, it's much more reliable system than 25.10 was for my hw. Sure, there are some bugs, but that was already on 25.10, but those are not critical.

The installation method: Renamed the .config/.local, and after the update finished, some apps config I just placed back to the correct folder, and that's it.

Hope sleep function will work as well in the long run, but for now, I am really happy that this update came along, I think the performance is better (maybe because of the kernel7), and it just works now.
