I hear it now
I've been starting to take notice of The Hum. Currently, I'm hearing it late at night, end of summer near the ocean in a sea Loch (Scotland). It's a very low tone, sounds like a helicopter. It pulsates in ~21 second smaller waves and muktiminute long larger trends. It varies between sounding like it's right outside my walls to sounding as if from down the road, occasionally becoming so quiet I can't hear it or so loud I can almost feel it. I do notice it becomes quieter if I am moving or thinking quite intensely. Or if I tense my jaw a lot.
