Thoughts on V3?

Why does Danganronpa V3 feel so... painful. I get V3 is supposed to be more brutal and focusses more on this "truth vs lies" stuff but did all but 3 characters really have to die? I was more accepting if my favorite character died in the previous few games but I feel like V3 is just so much more dark, with Kaedes death, the game feels so much more brutal compared to the other few, still honestly disappointed Kaede died, made me feel pretty friggin bad and the whole other Danganronpa games being just fiction aspect just makes me feel terrible about this game, like the other games weren't peachy either and explore sensitive topics but V3 just has something about it that leaves me feeling god awful compared to the other games, anyone else feel the same?

Kaede Akamatsu (spoilers)

Anyone else feel like crap after V3 chapter 1, Kaede Akamatsu has been my favorite character so far in the series and it really caught me off guard I know she's just a video game character but I feel genuine pain from her death the way she was brutally killed and the way it hurt Shuichi too. I used to never feel bad for video game characters, and my perspective on death was quite frankly a lot different before I discovered this series, there had been some deaths that made me feel pretty bad but Kaedes felt like a gut punch and it's been bothering me for days I probably sounds like a crazy person but I feel like I really need to vent this out, does anyone feel the same? I keep telling myself that she could still live even though I KNOW she's gone, with the whole V3 not being part of the main series maybe she's still alive in the main series it's just I don't know man I feel like a piece of garbage this series has messed me up and this has been the worst one yet I feel so much hurt and pain I wish everyone could survive sometimes
