Polygon published the below column this morning. The piece is more nuanced than the headline makes it seem. I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it. The comparison to animals on set resonates most with me, but we haven’t completely banned animals from sets.
Our particle board furniture is nearing the end of its life, and I’d like to invest in something more durable — ideally supporting a local business, as well. What are some good local businesses for this? I’m in the Twin Cities but would drive about an hour or so beyond.
While technically travel would be possible around the tip of South America or beneath Arctic sea ice, I’m guessing salmon don’t have the adaptations to travel that way. Were they just already in their respective locations and then got cut off when the continents closed and speciated from there?
I’ve been getting mat burns on the top of my foot, just up from my big toe. It appears to be occurring only during ground training, so I don’t think it’s due to dragging my feet during standing footwork. The location makes taping it up less effective since there’s nothing to wrap the tape around unless I wrap it around my whole foot. Is this an indicator that I’m doing something wrong on the ground? Any equipment that could mitigate this?
