Need some help with failover
Hi everyone, so assume I'm an idiot in networking. Can someone tell me if this will work, or if there is a better way of doing this.
I have two different lines of internet. 1 2gig internet, and 1 1gig internet.
I want to run both modems INTO a TP-Link ER707-M2 to have a failover setup.
I'm trying to figure out if one of these two options will work.

I would like to run the 2gb into a 2.5gb port, and the 1gb in a 1gb port. I want to plug my primary pc directly into the other 2.5gb port (does this matter) to get the full use of speeds on the 707. I would run a 1gb 8 port switch and an eero through the 1gb ports as well, but then i assume i would be bottlenecking my eero.
My other idea is to connect the 2gb to the 2.5, the eero to the other 2.5, my primary pc to the eero and then everything else including the 1gb internet and switch to the 707.
