You know what I don't understand?
People are completely losing their minds on Reddit, X, and Discord because they feel cheated. They watched these massive tech companies promise a revolution where anyone could be a Hollywood director from their browser. Then, the second regular people actually tried to use it, the corporations did a complete rug-pull: they added draconian censorship filters, stripped away the ability to use any cool or recognizable characters, locked things behind waitlists, and then slapped on massive price tags or demanded private developer API keys just to render a few seconds of video.
Don't you guys understand that Sora 2 has become a failure? The downloads on the app alone were rapidly declining, and the company itself was losing money. As amazing as this model was, OpenAI will not make money go down the train just to keep it running. They need to focus on ChatGPT and other things, PLUS images. You guys need to grow up and move on.
If there was a way to use Sora 2 again even after the API shutting down in September, we'd still be making Peter Griffin doing some random crap.
And stop bitching over Seedance 2.0; it's expensive and not worth it. There are no free videos that give you unlimited access to use, let alone unlimited credits.
