Unable to connect to smb shares on Tahoe from Sequoia

Good Eveving,

I'm new to MacOS so please excuse my lack of knowledge

I hve 2 machines and iMac snd a MacBook Pro, on the iMac I have Tahoe installed and on my Macbook Pro I have Sequoia installed.

I have 3 USB drives connected to my iMac (they are formatted in NTFS - ex Windows Drives, so I use Tuxera NTFS to allow me read/write access on them).

I have setup File Sharing on Tahoe and have set shares for each of these drives nd have added the user account that I want to allow access to.

On my Sequoia MacBook Pro, I have gone to 'Connect to Server' and have typed in smb://192.168.x.x it the asks me to put in user credentials to access the share, I select 'Registered User' and put in the Username and Password but for some reason it doesn't seem to accept these credentials as all it does is a 'box shake'

I have also created a local user account on my Tahoe machine and granted that user access to the share but agin the same thing happens, where it just doesn't seem to like the credentials and once again does a 'box shake'

What am I doing wrong? I know that I'm a MacOS newbie but I've followed a number of guides and have set up file sharing as directed.

Help!!!

Unable to connect to smb shares on a Hackintosh Mac os Tahoe Machine

Apologies in advance, I'm a newbie with all of this.

I've managed to get Mac os Tahoe installed on my Ryzen 7 mini pc, the next step is for me to set up File sharing, so that I can access my usb drives that are connected to this pc from my macbook pro.

I've gone into File sharing on my Tahoe machine and have setup File Sharing and have added a local account so that I can use to connect to the usb drives.

However that I try to connect from my Macbook Pro (Go to Server smb://192.168.0.xx) it asks me to enter in credentials, but for some reason it doesn't accept the credentials.

I use Tuxera ntfs to grant me read/write access to the usb drives - will that effect anything?

I've also noticed that when I go to 'Get Info' on all of the usb drives, the local account is not shown under sharing and permissions, so I click on the padlock to unlock it and click on the + to add my local account, but when I click on the local account and click add - it doesn't add the user account.

Can anyone please help me ou with this, as it's doing my head in.

Thanks in advance

Problems logging into icloud.com - is it safe to upgrade my Tahoe version

I have a working MacOS Tahoe Hackintosh, but the only problem is that I am unable to sign into iCloud. It tells me that I need to accept the terms and conditions but when I try do do this it just throws up an error saying an error has occurred.

I have phoned apple and they have told me it's because I need to update Tahoe to the latest version - 26.5.1 (I currently have 26.4 installed)

Is it safe to install the update through 'Software Update' or is there a software update package I can run?

Thanks in advance

Unable find my Tahoe drive in the bios 'boot section'

Good Afternoon,

I have successfully installed MacOs Tahoe on my AMD PC - all works great apart from one thing.

I have copied my efi folder over to the internal efi partition, and have removed the usb drive. The problem I'm having is that I am unable to locate my Tahoe drive in the boot options in my bios so that I can make it the default boot drive, but it does show up if I go into the Startup device option menu.

What I want is for my pc to automatically open Tahoe when I switch it on.

Is there a way to do this without having to go into th Startup device menu every time?

Thanks in advance
