[LOTM game] Comprehensive summary of the new Lord of Mysteries MMORPG info we got today.

will combine some previous information that we already know.

  1. Singleplayer story mode through the POV of the web novel's protagonist

The player character, with the help of a certain gray fog, will be able to experience the story of Klein Moretti, who is the protagonist of the web novel in which the MMORPG is based on.

- It will take roughly about 4 years of game version/patch updates to adapt the entirety of the web novel's content into this story mode.

- It is NOT guaranteed that every single storyline and content will be re-enacted within this gameplay mode. They will focus on adapting the essential moments.

- Klein's story in this mode is divided into 4 phases, or arcs you could say. <Struggle of a Mortal> <Awakening of an Actor> <Birth of a God> and <Battle of the Self>

In this singleplayer story mode, players will experience as klein:

- The urban atmosphere and liveliness of Tingen city

- The dark political turmoil of the smog-covered Backlund

- The dangerous waves of the five seas, etc.

- And that one fight within the Sefirah Castle.

  1. Character Stories (Flashbacks + Current Timeline Stories) and What-if Stories

As of May 8th, 2026, we have already created character specific storylines and flashbacks for dozens (数十位, meaning 20+ at least) of side characters from the web novel.

- Some of them may have altered the course of history in ways scarcely noticed at the time.

- Some are just a normal person caugh within the turbulent tide of the Fifth Epoch.

- Some of them may have appeared briefly in the web novel, only to never be seen again. But this time, they will be under the spotlight on stage.

- As Klein's singleplayer story mode gets updated with every patch/version, new side character specific stories and flashbacks will also be added.

- Roselle Gustave will have his own character stories as well. From his gossip filled private life, to how he "makes Intist great again". Moments of his life will be laid out before our eyes.

Within the game's timeline (6 years after Book 1), all characters from Book 1 already walked down their destined path and have moved forward in life.

However, using certain ways, we can experience What-if Stories. We already finished a lengthy, game-original (not in the web novel) story quest that features Dunn and Daly. It is called <Sweet Dream Come True>.

The story will take place in the past, before the finale of Tingen. Dunn and Daly will once again fight together to protect. Hopefully this story will be an indirect cure to our depression.

[Windvally note: I m going to theorize right now, through some fog/miracle/history shenanigan, we will go into a fictional past of Tingen where Dunn and Daly gets to face a certain thing together. I bet 5 cents on it!]

  1. The MMORPG's map areas and our plans of release

Based on the web novel, the MMORPG will also have maps related to all four continents, eventually.

- The North Continent in which the Loen Kingdom lies

- The South Continent related to the Balam Empire and the Underworld Emperor

- The East Continent related to the Giant King's Court and Forsaken Land of the Gods

- The West Continent which is the homeland of the Elves

- Tingen City of the Loen Kingdom in the North Continent is the player's starting point. Starting from the Blackthron Security Company, players will choose a pathway and begin their adventure.

(Note: Whether pathway switching is possible on player character will probably be explained in the distant future, or in future updates after the game is released. it's too early to ask this right now)

- After Tingen, the players will move onto Backlund, the captial of Loen Kingdom.

- The Forsaken Land of the Gods map in the East Continent are in its final adjustment stage.

- Maps related to maritime adventure and the Five Seas, centered around Gehrman Sparrow, are currently in production, keeping close to the schedule.

- The oriental styled West Continent, homeland of the elves, are currently in the map planning and refining stage. We hope the players will be able to step onto it one day.

(Note: It will probably be game-original content on the West Continent. It will be UNRELATED to the story of Book 2 Circle of Inevitability)
