I wonder if marcone knows cowl in some way? He presumably trained sells and made the wolf belts, the fbi and sells both used cowls training to try and kill marcone. It could be pure coincidence obviously, especially since I believe if cowl wanted marcone dead he’d have killed himself by now
What if the reason the mothers were interested in Harry’s choice of names during cold days is because they’re limited by meanings of the specific names. During Dresdens summoning he specifically channel the names related to dark futures death and cannibalism. And that’s exactly what he got when mother winter answered his summons. He got threats, suggestions of horrible futures, and she threatened to eat him. Jim has confirmed that the fae queens are Hecate divided what if naming Hecate frees the mothers to openly discuss the defense of reality and their own roles in it
I was thinking I wonder if Harry let Susan interview bob, it probably would go horribly but even an hour talking with bob could have skyrocketed her career. It’s not likely she’d drop the subject and I’m sure she remembers Harry and bob arguing in storm front. Thoughts?
What do you think the white councils stands on cloning?
Even though he hasn’t met his Mom Harry has managed to lead a very similar life. We constantly hear how she fell in with all these bad people who coincidentally Harry also makes temporary alliances and enemies with. At this point, I wonder if our last major reveal regarding her plans or choices, will be Drakul telling us an insane story about her and how he is the first person since his mother caused that much property damage.
With dragon con coming up presumably someone will ask for an update, based purely off statements made during the twelve months interview tour I think we’ll have this book by April at the absolute earliest, he seems determined to get this one into his publishers hand plus he’s been planning this book for awhile. I know 42% isn’t crazy progress but I just have a feeling we’re getting Dresden books significantly quicker now that we’ve gotten to what feels like act 3 of the overall series
I saw jim is a guest this year, maybe we could get an update on mirror mirror. Do most guests do q&a’s? If so someone should ask him more about outsiders.in recent interviews he seems to want us to ask certain questions. Maybe he has list of lore he wants to tell us but fans just keep asking about the Arthur and Merlin and whether Kemler is just kind of dead or super dead
Whatever the star born conflict is happens on a trackable basis, I believe Bob being a spirit of logic and intellect must have figured out what’s going on after 1000 years of being a wizard assistant. I wonder if there’s a scene coming up where Bob is relieved Harry finally used enough brain cells to notice what’s going on? The gargoyles implied in their first scene that They know what’s coming and why fighting with Harry is ultimately a choice in favor of humanity. Also, unlike Harry Bob doesn’t just ignore a topic until everybody’s in crisis. He most likely did his investigation the first time someone mentioned the word star born.
During turncoat Harry was going to figure out a binding for shagnasty, until bob points out Harry would be wasting his time. Then Harry unknowingly takes ownership of an island whose magical jailer would have loved nothing more than have bound another skinwalker. Bob really saved shagnastys bacon there
Since reading 12 months I started listening to Dresden at work, and man do I hate McCoy I’m at the blackstaff conversation and it’s enraging. To lie right to Harry’s face while telling him about his mother is disgusting. completely invalidates everything he’s argued with Harry about since changes.
So one of the big things Dresden constantly points out is that if a wizard wants to kill being, they typically make it look like accidents. When Harry summoned that demon in fool moon, at the end of the conversation, he claims Malcolm Dresden and was murdered by magic. Then several books later we find out Murphy’s father allegedly killed himself during his tenure as a black cat. What if they were both murdered by a wizard? Malcolm because he married Maggie and Murphy’s Dad because he stumbled into the wrong wizard schemes. I know not everyone needs to have been killed by the supernatural but it isn’t completely impossible.
After twelve months teased a trip to the never never side of the island I got to thinking, what’s Alfred like in the spirit world, is he like bob a floating nebula or does he have a physical body? Ever since cold days I’ve personally worked under the theory the other side of demonreach is going to a huge paradigm shift for Dresden, much like the first trip to his godmother’s garden. Would love any thoughts, theories or lore information.
I was thinking the other day it’s a strange we’ve only meant one archangel, in small favor mab gives us names and descriptions and ever since then we’ve only meet one of the three, I figured we’d at least have gotten a quick hello from them by now. Harry’s already pretty dead set against nicodemus and the walkers, you’d figure the people in charge would have take some interest in the chosen guardian of the swords
After the event of battleground, I’m starting to wonder if sir John Marcone has finally hit limit in terms of status and power. Obviously he didn’t stop at a title but I don’t know where he goes from here. he’s got the fallen angel of magic and practically unlimited connections, maybe this is his plateau what’s left while remaining mortal. I did read a theory once he’s going overthrow Nicodemus but personally I don’t love that for ether characters storyline.
It occurred to me that as an adult Harry hasn’t been wholly himself since he was 27. He picks up the coin and lash dies after years, about a year later I think he’s winter knight. That’s two really bad tenants so to speak. No wonder mister owned the apartment he’s way more exclusive
