Best NAS under $400 for me

I want to start ripping all my physical media which consists of Blu Rays and 4K blu rays and making them more accessible locally throughout the house. Plus I’m tired of blu ray players always freezing up on newer data heavy 4k disc. Priorities for intended use.

Priority #1 is being able to play my movies as if they were played on a player. Minus the freezing. So full video and audio codecs, no compression. My solution is a Zidoo z9x 8K for my media room. I’ve done the research and this product is exactly what I want. No need for other recommendations.

Priority #2 I also have an Apple TV connected in the media, plus Roku Ultra in the living room and Android TV in my Sony TV. I will most likely be using Plex to access my movies for those other areas.

Priority #3 Using it to also back up family photos and videos.

With that being shared, which NAS would you recommend for my situation that will handle 4k streams effortlessly with very little possibility of freezing and also easy to setup??

I’m not looking to get crazy with it, a simple media and back up system. I don’t need recommendations on using Plex or Jellyfish or why am I getting a Zidoo vs this other product. I’ve done the deep dive on all of that. I know my route. I just need help knowing which NAS to get.

Thank you

Finally visiting Monterey

After driving thru Monterrey for so many years I’m finally taking the time to visit the city. Most likely will stay near Barrio Antiguo area. Would love some recommendations on where to watch both Norway v Brazil and of course Mexico!! I’ve thought about the Fan Fest but now having second thoughts after seeing how insanely pack it gets.

Other hotel recommendations to add to my list??

Krystal Monterrey

Grab Hotel Ancira

Hotel Galeria Plaza

Also any other solo travelers want to meet up and watch the games?? Lol

Thanks!

First off, this is not about the limited high demand team matches that involves teams like Argentina, Brazil, France, etc. Or certain knock out matches. It’s about the other matches that you think people will pay hundreds if not thousands above face value. It’s not happening! That window has now closed! Prices continue to fall and FIFA has shown there are still so many tickets they are struggling to sell. It’s time you start adjusting your prices to sell ASAP. You also have to start thinking about the ripple effect certain world events are having on the economics of traveling for many foreigners. You can’t solely rely on locals to buy up over priced tickets for mediocre teams that won’t even make it out of their group stage. For context the average NFL ticket price is around $279. And even then a lot of average Americans struggle to take a whole family to a game. We may be willing to spend an extra $100 or $200 to attend a single World Cup game for category 3 or 4 tickets but the numbers aren’t in your favor to 2-4x your price. So stop being greedy, take a little profit, go buy yourself a new tv or maybe some of you might be able to afford a trip off the profits. But continue to be stubborn and you will be left holding the bag. Also don’t forget FIFA can take months to pay you out. You want some good karma on your side? Be less greedy and help those who actually want to attend a few matches.
