Play-tester reverse engineered my Demo with AI. Marketing it as their own. What should i do ?

I'm gonna be deliberately vague as I'm worried if i publicly accuse them they will obfuscate the tracks as much as possible.

I have been working on a game for the past 6 months, wrote it in raylibs and C++. I recently made a WASM build of the demo and threw it up on a cloudflare page so that i could share it with a few friends and previous co-workers...(ive now taken this page down now)

1 day later. I stumble upon a GitHub page....with a cloned copy of my demo, using all my assets... which they are claiming was made with an LLM in "one shot".

within the GitHub page , it contains what seems like Claude's translation of the WASM code to JS... my original demo's levels, and my original demo's assets stuffed into JSON files (presumably to obfuscate where they are from).

At the moment they published the demo under a pseudo name , so my current plan is to hold off on acting to see if they go though with the effort of finishing off the game themselves and shipping it or if they are just gonna release the stolen demo for the internet points and then leave it as abandonware.

what should i do and or, what can i do?

outside of that, i wish to post this more so as a warning , that "the future is now" and this is apparently a thing people are sad enough to do.

Young with a financially stupid parent? , Possibility of being homeless. What should i do?

I could write a long-winded story about my troubles, but I'll spare you the details.

At the moment, I'm 21M uni student. I have: a vocational education, about 1500 GBP in savings & a mildly mentally ill parent. She is not going to be able to cover rent soon; I'm unsure of what's happening after that.

Now the question is, do I get a job, pay off our rent and continue living with her... or do I get a job, move out to some 1-bedroom shitbox and go it on my own...

As of the moment, she owes me about 15k, so I'm inclined against helping her further...she's also a massive asshole despite owing me so much money.

But on the other hand, I'm terrified of the idea of being trapped in a 1-bedroom flat with a minimum wage job... She does make a considerable amount of money (60-70k), but it disappears due to one reason or another.... There is also no guarantee that she can keep a job.

Initially, I planned to get an education cheaply, save up money, do a master's degree, jump into a comfortable middle-class job and lifestyle, but this doesn't seem as likely anymore.

Books to study to become a Senior Engineer?

I've been hired to be a "Lead Engineer" at a fairly large tech company.

I only have about 2 YOE at real companies; most of my other YOE has been freelance work/entrepreneurial "work" whilst I was a student (4-5 YOE part-time)

As of the moment, I'm very much still a junior; the start and end of my expertise is reading a ticket, implementing it, and getting it past review.

I'm sure my hiring was an "error"... the business people who interviewed me seemed to like me, the AI system that did my technical "interview" also liked me, but I've never spoken to a real engineer who would have likely noticed I'm not a senior.

Ideally, I'd like a good reading list, so I can cram and stretch this out for as long as I can till I'm eventually fired.

Moving to a new city, how to get clients? / should i consider cold calls and cold emailing ?

So ,I got my niche: websites and apps for the creative industries.

AND , I USED to have a strong recurring clientele , but being that it's the creative industries , they are either skint or no-longer in business.

Previously i would just have gotten more by hanging out in web-forums & browsing freelancer platforms , but BY GOD, the wave of AI-empowered cowboys is crushing the market.

What should i do to get more clients ? I am planning to move to a major city next month, and im wondering how best to utilise my time to get clients.

M22, failed engineer, how to pivot?

I started working part-time in software engineering when i was 15, then went on to full-time work shortly after i turned 18, worked for 2 years , quit and I've been minimally employed for a further 2 years...mostly working on freelance projects.

I... really.... hate the software industry, and I have no real interest in continuing to be a software engineer. I could give a whole spiel about it but , I just dont like it. The work itself is enjoyable it's just the realities of the industry.

Ideally id like to find a job where I only work 3-4 days a week. Hell, 6 months on 6 months off like on an off-shore rig would be perfect. Perfectly happy to work minimum wage so long as there is some kind of career progression. What other careers should I consider?

if its relevant I'm currently finishing off a bachelors degree part-time, and I have a few smaller college diplomas in IT & business.

M22, failed engineer, unsure of where to go

I used to love software engineering. Started when I was 12-14, did work placements & internships, started working part time when I was 15, then started a full time role when I was 18 ,literally the DAY after my last High-school exam.

Now I f*king HATE it. I get heart palpitations when people use Agile terminology. (not hyperbole btw I had to go to a GP about it). I hate everything about the industry and the job... the practice of software engineering I love, its just ... the actual realities of the job itself... I completely despise.

I quit after working full-time for 2 years , as of the moment, I've been minimally employed for a further 2 years , failing to get any work as a freelancer and mostly been working on personal projects.

Ideally id like to find a job where I only work 3-4 days a week. Hell, 6 months on 6 months off like on an off-shore rig would be perfect. Perfectly happy to work minimum wage so long as there is some kind of career progression.

Though ideally more so than that id just like good advice...

if its relevant I'm currently finishing off a bachelors degree part-time, and I have a few smaller college diplomas in IT & business.
