What are your biggest skincare frustrations?
Hi everyone! I’m an aspiring beauty product developer and marketer, and I'm working on a personal portfolio project about skincare consumer frustrations and unmet needs. I’m not selling anything or promoting a brand, just trying to understand where current products or routines still fall short.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on any of these:
- What part of your skincare routine frustrates you the most, and why?
- Are there products or categories you keep trying, but never feel fully satisfied with?
- What compromises do you make with skincare products?
- Is there a concern you’ve tried to solve with multiple products, but still haven’t found something you’re happy with?
- Have you found any hacks or workarounds because existing products don’t quite work for you?
If you’re comfortable sharing, it would also be helpful to include your skin type (e.g., oily/dry/combo/sensitive) or main skin concerns (e.g., acne, redness, hyperpigmentation, texture) for context.
No need to answer everything; even one honest example is helpful. If this kind of post isn’t allowed, I’m happy to remove it. Thank you so much! 🥹
