Anybody here have experience with competitive intelligence, pharmacovigilance, or medical information? I was wondering if any of these have a more predictable, slower paced workflow than medcomm (publications and conference materials) or regulatory (CSRs and CERs in my experience). Basically a 9-5 gig with no late nights/weekends where the day ends when it ends. I know competitive intelligence will sometimes require travel to conferences but aside from that is it predictable and not too fast-paced in general? I'm guessing there's an element of "it depends", but just in general? I know pharmacovigilance has some overlap with med writing (e.g., DSURs) but does it have the same shifting schedules/priorities? Is medical information just sitting by a phone answering calls from healthcare providers then going home at 5? Are there med info positions that don't involve phone calls but keep a predictable routine (maybe literature reviews)? For reference, I've worked in-house and in an agency for both medcomm and regulatory. How do these other options compare in terms of organization (i.e., not chaotic with everything being shuffled around) and simplicity? Again, I'm sure "it depends", but is there a general trend? I had unpaid earnings around $60 with Shutterstock but those went down to $0.10 a couple of days ago without me requesting a payment. My Lifetime Earnings shows the correct amount, though. When I look at my payment history, nothing shows up. PayPal shows nothing. Is this a bug?

For each job I apply to on LinkedIn, I copy/paste the description into a spreadsheet as a reference. However, when I've gone back to the same ad (saved to my Applied section on LinkedIn), the description changed substantially on two recent occasions. Is this common? LinkedIn Premium lets you give a message to some companies with your application saying why you're interested. I wrote a message that now sounds ridiculous after the ad changed. I now have to decide whether to email the recruiter directly and say "nevermind" or just let it go and pretend it never happened. Will a recruiter now think I don't know what I'm talking about and roll his/her eyes?

Has anybody in the history of CERs ever written that the benefit-risk ratio was not favorable? I've never had to write that and don't think a company would ever insinuate that their product should be taken off the market. What happens if data genuinely suggest that? That hasn't happened to me yet but I'm guessing that it'll eventually happen.
