I just want to remind everyone that Dr. Mohsin Naqvi is still the PCB chairman. The facist regime like approach to criticism and toxic workplace is still at PCB.

Pakistan has been very bad in test cricket and the pressure to make a change is there. This would be the easiest option in their eyes. Make a fan favourtie the captain. they dont really have too many other options. Because no way will Aqib Javed get fired, he has the newds of someone in PCB.

I dont think Babar has a choice in denying the captaincy. Similiar to when he was given the ODI captaincy back despite leaving as captain recently.
