Eating normal diet while on metronizadole?

I have methane sibo and blastocystis. Been prescribed metronizadole and I’m on day 8 of taking it.

I’ve been eating a normal diet this entire time - which has given me diarhea, and clearly gut is irritated - but could also be die off I guess.

People who have taken metro, what did you eat with it? Also is metro alone enough to kill this thing?

Thanks

My FMD is garbage - does this constitute for SIBO?

I am genuinely at my wits end when it comes to my gut and whatever hell I’m going through, but I do think I haven’t found the right practitioner to work with either.

My FD says I have SIBO - based on the below results, do I constitute for it? Really need an experts opinion/advice.

I did have “higher” levels of methane in my stool sample as well, blastocysitis and overgrowth of ciprobracter.

He has me on a low starch diet antimicrobial protocol but honestly I’ve been dealing with this for 3 years and just want to take an antibiotic and be done with it.

Concerned if I constitute for rixafim etc if my methane / hydrogen levels are low? I ran it through Claude and it said I don’t have SIBO, but doc is saying I do.

Thoughts?

My symptoms are chronic GI issues (constipation followed by mushy stools), inflammation, brain fog, fatigue, bloating, trapped gas, alcohol and lactose intolerance, skin issues, weight gain and inability to lose weight. I 100% have dysbiosis but I’m hoping for a miracle cure and wondering if SIBO is the leading cause for the symptoms.
