Cloned Plates - Forecourt Eye Letter
After some advice or what else I need to do.
I received today a letter from Forecourteye advising my car had made off without payment.
Checked the images they provide and it’s the same car type and model but not my car. Also the location is 2 hours away.
My car didn’t have a sticker in the window, has dark grey nossles for the window spray, I had a bumper issue (which unfortunately I have now fixed) and the car was immaculately clean mine isn’t.
I have done a report to the Met Police using 101 form and also disputed it with Forecourt by email.
Is there anything else I can do ? I know it wasn’t me as I don’t make off without payment, the car isn’t my car and I actually came back from a holiday and was jet lagged so I was almost certainly in bed.
Can I ask the garage for CCTV ? I assume as this was beginning of April they will have been wiped ?
