Probably just writing this for myself, but when this show came I was envious of Chad. It goes to show things aren't always what they appear especially on TV. I thought the guy was living the life I could only dream of. Good looking family man, living in a bus with his beautiful wife and kids, chasing a treasure with his wealthy father. Seems he had everything I wanted or dreamed of. Today I'm glad I have my life and not his. Crazy how life can unfold. A sad fall from graces due to mental health I assume.

I didn't know this when I injured my knee. I was leaving messages for community care that often went unanswered. Bc of this my outcome on my knee suffered. It wasn't't till I was talking to another vet at the VA who told me to always communicate via portal bc they will respond when there is a digital trail. Well he was sure as shit right. Community care responds that day whereas when leaving messages no one responded. Everything regarding the VA has moved faster for me by using the portal to create a trail to ensure you get prompt care.

I didn't't know this so sharing in hopefully helping other vets gets prompt care they deserve instead of being ignored.

Fell on the ice end of December and knew something was bad. Went to an Ortho urgent care Jan 2nd, PA ordered X-rays and said it was osteoarthritis. I knew bs but what do I know.

Thru a series of unfortunate events finally have surgery coming up. Highest anxiety I've ever had trying not to dwell on the delays. I'm 6'1 240 46 yo.

Anyone have thoughts or exp with a repair this far out?
