Off Campus Housing
Hey, I'm looking for advice on housing in Windsor as I'll be starting this fall. Unfortunately, I don't have the opportunity to visit the city before moving.
I've already applied for residence, but I'm worried I may not get a spot. I also looked into Canterbury College, but the waitlist is insanely very long.
Ideally, I'm looking for either:
- a bachelor/one-bedroom apartment, or
- a two-bedroom apartment with just one roommate.
I'd prefer to avoid larger shared houses.
From my research, I've heard that parts of downtown can be a bit rough. I also don't drive, so it's important that I'm either within walking distance of campus or on a reliable bus route. I wouldn't mind up to a 30-minute bus ride, as long as the route is frequent and dependable.
I'm definitely leaning toward apartment living rather than a townhouse, so if anyone has recommendations for specific apartment buildings or property management companies they've had good experiences with or are aware about, I'd really appreciate it!
