Neutering in adulthood?
This guy is Beerus, he’s going to be 3 in September, and he’s the nicest little guy that’s ever been. We’ve had him since he was 4 months old, and though we’ve never really considered neutering him (we’d like him to have kittens one day, though we’re in no rush) I still kinda wonder about it from time to time. He’s 100% an indoor cat in a 14 story building, he has none of the bad traits a male cat can have if not neutered, has never hissed (not a single time which is fucking crazy) nor scratched us, never pissed anywhere that wasn’t his litter, never been aggressive, etc. Can’t say he isn’t loud and needy but I guess it comes with the race anyway, he’s super talkative so we just moew right back or give him attention when he starts moewing too much - anyway, there’s really nothing to complain about this little guy :’) I just worry about potential genital cancer as it’s often mentioned in the neutering discussion, but that’s it. And I’m afraid neutering an adult cat could cause some other health problems… should it be done anyway? His vets have always said there’s no *real* need to do it if he isn’t causing issues, marking his territory, etc. Any of you has been in this situation before?
