I have got a 25 minute train ride to work every morning and i want to use it for spanish but i am not opening grammar lessons at 7 am lol.
Looking for something free and easy that i can do with headphones without staring at my phone the whole time. What do you use?
Why do normal Spanish lessons still feel so boring lol
I’ve tried a bunch of the usual apps and most of them just feel like school again. Random grammar drills, weird example sentences, vocabulary lists I forget two days later. Music feels way easier for me because I already repeat lyrics without thinking about it. Then I start noticing words, phrases, pronunciation, and how people actually say things instead of only learning textbook spanish. I’m not saying it replaces proper studying, but for vocabulary and listening practice it feels way less painful.
Anyone else use songs to pick up spanish words, or is that just me?
Storytime de cómo choqué con la realidad al mudarme a EEUU:
En México yo juraba que mi inglés era avanzado: veía series sin subtítulos, escuchaba música y pasaba los exámenes de la escuela con 10. Qué patada de realidad me dio este país el primer día. Llegué a pedir comida y cuando el cajero me habló a mil por hora, con acento local y un chorro de slang, mi cerebro hizo corto circuito. No entendí una sola palabra. Una cosa es el inglés masticado de los libros y otra muy diferente el inglés real de la calle y del trabajo.
