I created an LLC in 2024 as a partnership with my wife. So far we have done no business and have had no expenses or any income.

We would like to get it in good standing. We did not file any taxes for it before. We never filled out a 1065 or IT-204-LL.

I am very worried about penalties with this. I heard that it could be nearly $6,000 and was thinking maybe I should just dissolve it and start over. Then I also heard that the IRS could still come after me if I did that. So maybe it makes sense to just file everything for the current LLC and hope to get an abatement ? That seems risky. Wish I did this right from the start.
