Am I overthinking?
I live in an old building; on the 3rd floor which is the topmost floor. Now it's been a few days that construction work has started on the plot next to my building. They are currently doing something which is generating this metallic clank every 4-6 seconds and my building is vibrating with each hit. I understand they might be digging or pressing the soil. However, I have felt similar vibrations during mild earthquakes recently.
So I am a bit scared actually about the fact whether this vibration might cause any risk if continued for long term. Or, is it normal during construction works? Would really appreciate, if any civil engineer or someone with eexpertise can share some knowledge.
