Pretty beat up common $5 note, but I found the reverse’s possible personal autograph quite interesting, hard to read but says something along the lines of (Mary Y.G. Lastname) 4-VIII 1866 April 8th 1866? God knows who she was or what story is behind this, maybe it was kept in a wallet as a lucky note. Love the unusual notes, especially 160+ years old
These large size 1914 first Federal reserve series are always so nice to look at, wish they were somewhat more affordable in Good condition, it only seems to be going steadily up.
Do you guys have any of it's cousins? Would be curious to see em 💪
