BlaBlaCar Driver Fled With My Belongings During Jaipur–Delhi Trip

On 13 May 2026 at around 7:25 PM, I was traveling from Jaipur to Delhi in a cab booked through BlaBlaCar. The vehicle number was HR-34M-4899 and the driver’s phone number was 9958068891.

During the journey, the driver stopped at Rajshree Resort for dinner. I went to the washroom for barely two minutes, and when I returned, the cab had disappeared. The driver fled with all my belongings, leaving me with nothing except my phone.

I immediately called 112, and the police arrived at the spot. They contacted the registered vehicle owner, who claimed that his nephew had taken the vehicle and that he knew nothing about the incident. There was also one male and one female passenger inside the cab at the time.

I even contacted Rajshree Resort regarding the CCTV footage from the night of the incident. However, instead of providing clear assistance or showing the footage, I was repeatedly given vague responses and redirected from one person to another. CCTV footage from that location could be crucial evidence in identifying the accused and tracing the vehicle.

I am a trainee pilot. I had traveled from Bihar to Delhi for my DGCA Class 1 Medical examination. My luggage contained important pilot training and medical documents, clothes, personal belongings, Army canteen items, cash, and most importantly my tablet containing all my important study and work-related data. The total value of my belongings was more than ₹80,000.

Before the incident, around 10–15 km after starting the journey from Transport Nagar, Jaipur, the driver claimed that his credit card was not working and requested ₹3,000 through UPI, promising he would return the cash later. Trusting him, I transferred the amount. That money is gone as well.

It has now been 8 days since the incident, and despite having the vehicle number and phone number, there has been no meaningful progress. Whenever I try to contact the police, I am often told to call later or informed that they are busy. As an ordinary citizen, this is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

What worries people today is not just crime, but the growing feeling that corruption and negligence are becoming normal. Citizens pay taxes, follow rules, and trust the system for protection and justice. But when victims struggle even after providing clear details like a vehicle number and phone number, people naturally begin to lose confidence in the system.

Today this happened to me. Tomorrow it could happen to someone else. Public safety and accountability cannot be ignored.
