Best GRE course?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to take the GRE in late July or August, so I have about two months (or slightly less) to prepare.

I recently took the practice test on the ETS website and scored 145 in Verbal and 146 in Quant, which was pretty discouraging. To get into the schools I’m targeting, I’ll likely need a score around 310-320.

While taking the test, I realized that I’ve forgotten a lot of the math because I haven’t taken a math class in about three years. I’m also lacking a lot of GRE-level vocabulary.

Given my starting point and timeframe, what would be the best online prep program for me? Magoosh, GregMat, or something else? Has anyone been in a similar situation and successfully improved their score within a couple of months? What worked best for you?

Thanks!

Do I have a Shot at CUNY Hunter or Staten Island

Hi everyone,

I’m a senior At CCNY graduating in Summer 2026 and planning to apply to DPT programs, mainly CUNY Hunter and CUNY Staten Island.

My overall GPA is 3.74 and my estimated prereq GPA is around 3.59. I’m currently taking General Biology 2 to finish the biology requirement.

I have about 400 outpatient PT hours, mostly from working as a PT tech, but I don’t have inpatient hours yet.

My other experience includes remote work with a nonprofit serving veterans, a college club relations role, theater production assistant work, and some dental assisting.

I recently took a practice GRE and scored around 145/146 verbal/quant, which is what I’m most worried about.

Do I have a realistic chance at Hunter or CSI DPT? Should I focus more on raising my GRE score or getting inpatient hours before applying?

Any honest advice would be appreciated.
