Built an AP Calc AB/BC study tool using symbolic math (Units 1–3 live) – looking for early student feedback!

Hey r/APStudents,

As school gets underway, early AP Calc AB/BC homework on limits, continuity, and differentiation rules can be a big jump.

After a 30-year career in algorithms and applied analytics, I have started to build an interactive calculus practice tool designed to provide step-by-step guidance without skipping intermediate algebraic steps.

How It Works:

  • Symbolic Math Engine: Rather than guessing math probabilistically like general AI chatbots, it uses a deterministic symbolic math engine to evaluate and check steps accurately.
  • Active Units: Units 1–3 (Limits, Continuity, Differentiation) and Unit 6 (Integration Basics) are live now.
  • Guided Features: Includes one-click prompts for step breakdowns, rule explanations, and worked examples, plus full session export to PDF/HTML.
  • Platform: Planned to be device agnostic but current development effort is for the desktop. Mobile will come later.

I would love your honest thoughts on whether the step-by-step explanations are clear and helpful for homework review. If you want to check out the project, leave a comment and I'll share the details!
