We’ve been working on a way to make grocery shopping in Zambia a little simpler.
You can now order groceries through WhatsApp using a voice note, a picture, or just a text message.
The idea is pretty simple: instead of opening an app, building a basket and going through a checkout, you can just tell us what you need.
We built this because sometimes you just want to say:
“Please get me bread, milk, eggs and some chicken.”
And be done with it.
Curious what people in Zambia think about ordering groceries this way.
WeCart is growing, and we’re doing some research to better understand how people currently buy groceries, the challenges they face, and what would make the experience easier.
I’d really appreciate your honest opinion, not just support 😅
Please take a few minutes to answer this survey. Your feedback will help us build a grocery delivery app that solves real problems and gives people a better way to shop.

Thank you, Lusaka. Let’s get to 1,000! 🚀🛒❤️
WeCart is officially live and scaling. We recently launched our grocery delivery service exclusively in Lusaka, Zambia, and have just crossed our first 100 registered users and 20 completed orders.
Traditional grocery delivery services frequently struggle with unsustainable unit economics, high customer acquisition costs (CAC), and low basket values. We built WeCart to fundamentally change this dynamic by structuring our software around how African households actually budget and shop.
Our early momentum is driven by two core architectural levers:
Shared Family Carts: Instead of acquiring isolated individuals, we onboard entire domestic ecosystems. Family members coordinate, share, and aggregate their spending into a single cart, creating an organic, zero-CAC viral growth loop.
The Embedded Fintech Layer: A proprietary, closed-loop digital wallet that captures consumer float, stabilizes transaction success rates, and completely bypasses heavy third-party mobile money processing overhead.
For Investors
We are now opening our pre-seed round to optimize our fulfillment infrastructure and scale our digital payment layer. If you are an early-stage investor, angel, or fund manager with an active mandate for Sub-Saharan African fintech and commerce networks, let's connect.
