Alright, my people. I’m watching this show for the second time now, and I’m telling you. we need a movie, a Season 3, anything. Anything less is unacceptable.

I know the studio is struggling financially, and Japan’s economy is going through it right now, but we’ve got to figure out how to get them to greenlight one or the other. I don’t know what we have to do here. If we need to start a GoFundMe, or fly to Japan and work over there so we can keep these guys supplied with food and energy drinks, then so be it. Whatever it takes to get this project done.

Because I’m telling you, this show was absolutely peak. And I love all the classics...Berserk, Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop but there’s something about this one that just hits completely differently.

I need more. That’s all I’m trying to tell you guys.

Alright, I’m just going to be flat out honest. I hardly ever post on Reddit, but I felt like I had to say something about this show.

Lately I’ve been mentally exhausted with day to day life, and I haven’t really been able to sit down and fully commit to a TV show in a long time. I randomly threw this on Netflix as background noise while cooking and within like five minutes my eyes were glued to the screen. I finished the entire series in two days, and honestly probably would’ve finished it in one if I had the time.

There was just something really captivating about their relationship and hearing their inner thoughts. The dialogue felt super rich and authentic, and their chemistry came across so naturally. The music was fantastic, the artwork was gorgeous, and I especially appreciated how much care they put into portraying cosplay culture.

My only real hurdle, and this is probably coming from someone who doesn’t watch much Seinen/romance anime, was remembering these characters are supposed to be in high school. As a 39 year old guy, some of the emotional maturity and even the way they looked felt older than their age. Still, it was pretty easy for me to move past because everything else was done so well.

My anime taste is kind of all over the place. Some of my favorites are the original Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, and FMAB. But honestly I think this might end up in my Top 10 most enjoyable anime experiences.

I seriously cannot wait for May 25th.
