I'm looking into booking my first ski touring trip for winter 2027 (will likely be doing a 3 day trip in the French Alps, specific one undecided as of now). I'm a competent piste and off-piste skier (have done c.35 weeks), but I am mainly looking for advice on equipment.

A few companies I have look at have suggest just skins, some have suggested specific ski touring skis and boots.

I have the following equipment (for normal skiing):

Skis - Armada Declivity 92 Ti (aware I would need to change binding and get skins measured)

Boots - Salomon S/Max 120

I would love advice on if it's best to rent ski touring specific equipment, or the above will be okay (I honestly have no clue, very exciting to start my ski touring journey)
