It‘s not giving me spark, I’m desperate
I recently bought a Rex Rs 450 that last ran in 2013. I changed all fluids and replaced the carb, sparkplug, ignition coil, battery and the CDI. After figuring out that the new AC CDI that i bought had different wiring than the old one and Changing it accordingly i actually got it to run. But it was maxing out at 35kph and the Fuel tank was leaking. So I adjusted valve clearances and replaced the Fueltank yesterday. It hasn’t started since…. After a lot if searching i found out, that the spark plug isn‘t sparking anymore. The CDI gets everything it needs and the AC Voltage arrives at the ignition coil according to my Multimeter. The Pickup signal is there too. The only thing I noticed that was weird, is that the new Fuel Tank showed „Full“ on the dash even tho there’s no fuel in it. But i checked for short circuit and there was Nothing. My only guess would be, that the Voltage is there at the coil, but not enough amps. But why would it suddenly stop working? It ran pretty good before i installed the tank and adjusted the valves. I haven’t changed anything on the wiring. Any Ideas?
