The Return to Reading

Lately, I've found myself returning to the world of books during the quiet hours at my office. When I work sincerely, I can finish my tasks faster than anyone else, leaving me with an hour or two of "free time" that I've decided to dedicate to reading. After finishing two books in four days, I spent the last two days on this latest story. While I wasn't sure what to pick, as he is my go to writer when I feel like reading, so I picked it

The story follows Neel, a man living in Kolkata with his girlfriend, Titiksha. Neel is driven by a singular desire: to become a successful writer. To chase this dream, he travels to a book fair in Jaipur, seeking a breakthrough for his career. While in Jaipur, encounters Nivrita.

She approaches him with a startling claim-that she is his ex-girlfriend. Even though Nil has no memory of her, Dikshita is so charming, appealing, and seductive that he finds himself falling for her. Under her spell, he accepts her claim and allows her into his life.

The Promise...

Nivrita offers him exactly what he wants: a way into the publishing world. She promises to help him publish his book, but there's a catch. She has a specific story she wants to tell him-a story she suggests he should write as his own. As they return to Kolkata, the influence of this mysterious woman begins to reshape Neel's reality.

Final Verdict

I have yet to finish the book, but I just wanted to ranty it out, it is soooo good. Despite my mixed feelings on this particular installment, I've realized that this is one of the only authors I've followed so closely, having read five or six of his books or more . There is something to be said for a writer who keeps you coming back. If you are a fan of his style, you'll likely want to see how Neel's journey unfolds, even if the path is a bit uneven.

Will update a final review after reading it.
